*Why do I offer this discount?
Because I feel passionately about parents having the ability and freedom to work around their families, while still being present and available when needed.
As a parent of autistic twins, I know all too well how challenging, and almost impossible at times, it is to hold down a ‘normal’ 9-5 job, especially while juggling all the medical appointments and being a full-time carer. This is what prompted me to leave a 12-year career as a secondary school teacher to start my own business and work around my children. It was the best decision I made, and I am now able to be available for school drop-offs, pick-ups, medical appointments, sick days and even nativities, by setting my own working hours.
I truly believe all parent-carers should be given the ability and the tools to start their own businesses and not be forced to give up work or rely on carer’s allowance. There are other options, and we will work together to make it happen.
